My Teaching Philosophy

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

I am very passionate about teaching, my goal is to enhance all students playing ability and overall enjoyment of the game by teaching a swing that is more efficient and easier on the body.  I believe every golfer has the ability to improve whether it be their putting, short game, full-swing or course management.  This improvement can come quickly by learning to be more consistent with important fundamentals such as the grip, alignment, pre-shot routine, and setup.

My teaching philosophy caters around the student’s learning style.  Some students like to keep it as simple as possible while others like to know how everything works.  Either way, I am committed to making them a better player.  While it takes some students more time to achieve the results they desire, I do not necessarily believe a student should or will get worse before they get better.  My goal of each lesson is to achieve better results that day while building a foundation for long-term success.  It’s important to understand the cause of poor results, but more importantly, how to effectively fix them.  Through the use of video, drills, and teaching aids my students will learn how to improve their game.

MY APPROACH

Every golfer is different and I approach my instruction that way.  I begin each lesson by interacting with my students to make them feel comfortable while learning about their personality.  Communicating with my students about their current level of play and goals is very important to me.  While I believe in certain laws and principles in the golf swing, I always try to structure the lesson towards the individual.

I teach students as young as 5 years old to seniors in their 80′s, beginners to professionals, and everyone in between.  Whether the goal is to gain more confidence on the course, to play at a top tournament level, or to have more enjoyment playing the game, I give my students the appropriate instruction to achieve their goals.

With the hundreds of amateur and professional tournaments I’ve played and learning to teach from Top 100 Instructors, I am confident I have the knowledge and experience to take your game to the next level.  Feel free to contact me if you’d like to improve your game in a fun and friendly environment.

  1. Kyle has arguably the best short game I have ever seen. He taught me a lot. I played on the Nationwide Tour the past 3 years and I used his mechanics everyday. I know this guy is great at all facets of the game, but please do yourself a favor and pick his brain on wedge play, chipping, bunker play, and PUTTING!!!! Probably the best putter I have seen ever too…

    • Thanks Tee! I just passed on what I learned from Maarten Van den Berg (Miami ’93 – ’97 and NCAA Freshman of the Year) and Brad Adamonis (PGA Tour ’08 and ’09). They’re the real masters with a wedge in the their hands.

  2. My name is Scott Yancy III, and I’m probably best known for my appearance as a contestant on the Big Break II. When I was a junior in college I was paired with Kyle Voska at a Monday qualifier for the Nationwide Tour’s Dayton open at Yankee Trace. One of my teammates was caddying for me and to this day we talk about how Kyle was the purest iron player we had ever seen. It was amazing how straight and pure he hit those iron shots! I live in Orlando now but I’m going to try and get up to Ohio this year to see Kyle, I think he can help get my game back in shape!
